Tala Game Reserve Wedding Rates

Venue Hire
Figtree Barn, Acacia, Paperbark Lodge and Leadwood Lodge
Figtree Barn = R9 000 (for 200 pax. R50 per person will be charged over the number)
Acacia = R8 000
Leadwood Lodge = R20 000
Leadwood Lodge will be rented until 23h59 and an additional surcharge of R3000 will be charged for every hour or part thereof after midnight to cover the overheads of the venue, bar and staff costs.
All other venues are also hired until 23h59 and an additional surcharge of R1250 will be charged for every hour or part thereof after midnight to cover the overheads of the venue, bar and staff costs.
Venue Hire fee includes the following:

Use of the venue up until Midnight; hereafter a surcharge will occur

10 Seater tables

Standard crockery, cutlery and glasses

1 set of plastic chairs for either your ceremony or reception

Cake knife & podium
-
Setting up/down of the venue

A professional wedding coordinator

A honeymoon room for the night of the wedding at one of our luxury lodges (pending availability)
Below is a guideline of the minimum and maximum number of guests that each venue can hold. Please note that if you would like to host less than the minimum number of guests at a particular venue this is possible but you would still be required to pay for the minimum number stated below.

The full venue hire is requested as a non-refundable in order to confirm the Date & Venue for your wedding. This deposit needs to be paid within 14 days of booking your venue, failing which your provisional booking will automatically fall away.

Linen:
Tala can provide you with cream coloured chair covers and cream Demask tablecloths and napkins for your wedding at the following rates:
Tablecloths = R20 each
Chair Covers = R5 each
Napkins = R3 each
Should you wish to hire in your own linen this will need to be delivered to Tala 2 days before the wedding with all the favors; printed menu’s etc to ensure that we have all the items needed to complete your setup.
Wedding Land Rover:
To be used for photos at a rate of R1750.00 for a maximum of 2 hours. If you choose to use your private vehicle for photos a ranger will need to accompany you at a rate of R750.
As the reserve has good sign posting it is not necessary for a ranger to accompany your guests home after the reception. If however you are worried that some guests may not be able to drive home a ranger can be made available to escort these at an additional R750. This needs to be arranged at your final meeting with your coordinator.
Guest Transfers:
Guests can be transferred to and from the wedding venue at a charge of R250 per vehicle needed.
Break Down:
R250 per hour will be charged for Tala staff to breakdown your reception if you have used an outside décor company for the set up.
Confetti:
You may only use natural confetti such as Rose petals, leaves or bubbles. No synthetic or paper confetti may used.
Storage of Equipment:
For any additional décor items that need to be personally remove or stored by Tala an after-hours rate of R70 per staff member per hour will be charged.
Entertainment:
Zulu dancers, a string trio or an interactive drumming session can be organised for your guests as additional entertainment. Prices for these are available of request.

Special wines or beverages orders (these need to be given to Tala no later than 2 weeks before
your wedding day)

The bar limit (not compulsory) and bar bill – please take special note that Tala does not accept any
cash at all and guests need to therefore bring their credit/debit cards with to the wedding.

Lunch for bridal party in prep room on wedding day (requirements needs to be arranged in
advance)

Please note that all the above services and hired items are subject to availability and it is therefore essential to book these well in advance to avoid disappointment.
